you say you want me out of here but my heart is anchored down you’ll have to drain the ocean bed and leave me there for dead don’t call my heart a liar, love was my fear that did you wrong and I’d travel back and change things but the current of time is too strong underneath the words I blurted out were the things I meant to say behind the failures I conceived is a love that’s pure and sweet and I’m sorry if you can’t see it, love but you were never wrong to believe and if you could reconsider, please I would give you all you need

Tenderfoot 02:52
forever I dreamt about you from the edges of the county line sewn in a cocoon of sound shape-shifting into somebody new for you but I dreamt I was encircled in light and I was all that you could see or hear or feel or you could want you wanted me forever I kicked the walls, but nobody ever heard a sound I sang songs of the isolation but never learned how to sort any of it out so I dreamt you were inside my room and you were all that I could smell or taste or touch and you were real forever I dreamt about you by some kind of magic you came true but I am a tenderfoot just searchin' for grace tryin' to save face

will I be something you wanted? will I be something else? will I be the one that you needed or will I be someone else? in fragments, memories break down a jigsaw past incomplete but I’ll try and piece it together to see who I was who I am and who I will be for you who will I be for you? who who will I be for you? who who will I be for you? who who will I be for you? who will I be? who will I be for you? when did I lose what you have? when did I see in the mirror all of the broken moments all of the ugly truths and fears? and I’ve gotta get out of my head let go of this self-destruction cause I want to see you through this terrifying unforgiving awe-inspiring world who will I be for you? who who will I be for you? who who will I be for you? who who will I be for you? who will I be? who will I be for you?

looking at the ring around the moon praying that it don’t mean bad weather soon hoping that the sun can raise the dead so maybe I can get out of my bed but did you ever see me? maybe you took a picture of who I used to be burrowed in an office, blinds are closed someone said “look out and see the snow” but seeing what I can not touch is no… no way to get my mind off of these woes they’re always in my head oh, the things I could have been places I could have seen the light it so eludes the lazy eye through which it’s viewed from outside the ring around the moon looking at the ring around the moon praying that it don’t mean bad weather soon hoping the sun can raise the dead so maybe I can get out of my bed have I any time to change it? the ending to the story of who I’m supposed to be

Hideaway 04:01
let’s get out of town tonight and feel alive you can drive our wheels turn counterclockwise with the dim light we fade from sight remember what it was to be oh so free nowhere to be old songs on the radio they fill the air we’re almost there it saves my soul to feel this way to leave all of this behind but if it’s back in the morning when we feel the sun come up promise we won’t give up what’s wrong? what’s wrong? they’re never gonna take the hideaway away from me so long so long they’re never gonna take the hideaway away and if you go I’m only gonna follow and where you stay it’s where I’m gonna stay tonight it saves my soul to feel this way to leave all the bullshit behind but it if it’s back in the morning when we feel the sun come up promise we won’t give up what’s wrong? what’s wrong? they’re never gonna take the hideaway away from me so long so long they’re never gonna take the hideaway away

a moment strikes in daylight a quaking, avalanching sound and though we settled on high the pangs of grief descended down without belief, what could I do with this heavy heart it’s that relief that tows me through the hardest part Olivia and Courage know that it will all be fine but I’ll have to wait until it’s my time til it’s my time such a sight for sore eyes this distant light I’ve leaned into and such a long, long night it’s been but you illuminate my view without belief, what could I do with this broken heart it’s that relief that gets me through the hard parts Olivia and Courage knew that it would all be fine but I had to wait until it was my time til it was my time
